WAVE TAKES
THIRD PLACE AT STATE
CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!
On the
weekend of February 18-21 over 800 swimmers descended upon the Cary
area and the Triangle Aquatic Center for the 14 & Under Age
Group Championships. This meet featured the top 14 & Unders in
the state with kids as young as 7yrs old
competing.
WAVE swimmers in the combined team points totals finished
third, which is up dramatically from a seventh place finish last
year at this meet. The top 5 teams were MAC from Charlotte in
first, RSA, WAVE, MOR and NCAC respectively. The WAVE girls
finished in second place behind MAC by ½ a point, while the
WAVE boys finished in a great 8th place out of 40+
teams.
WAVE
swimmers stepped up their performance and rose to the occasion with
a lot of great swims including State Championship titles and new
Junior National qualifying times!
Congratulations to all of the WAVE swimmers and your great
achievement!

Swim Supply for making Ryan's visit possible. After being delayed
in his trip to Raleigh, Ryan arrived shortly after 5PM to a loud
welcome at TAC. Lots of screaming fans and flashes from cameras
greeted him, making him feel quite welcome. After a short,
inspiring talk he spent the rest of the visit signing autographs,
and visiting with many of the young swimmers, It was a great visit,
short as it was, from one of the best swimmers in the
world.
