AVE Climbs To New Heights At MAC Dual Meet
On November 21st and 22nd, a strong contingent of Wave 13 & Up
swimmers made the trip to Charlotte to take on Mecklenburg Aquatic
Club in 2009 version of the WAVE v. MAC Dual Meet. All of the
athletes put forth a great effort and enjoyed some great swimming
in a dual meet atmosphere. The parents and kids had the opportunity
to video races using the club's video camera which added another
nice dimension to the event.
Following the Saturday session the WAVE athletes, coaches, and
families had a pasta dinner with the host club which was a fun and
convenient way to end the day. However, the highlight of the trip
came at the end of the Sunday session as our swimmers had the
opportunity to climb ropes which MAC has suspended from the ceiling
over the pool and drop into the water. Great fun was had by all and
