Cary, N.C.- On Sunday January 3rd a
large number of Wave swimmers took to the pool at TAC to swim in
the distance meet.
Most of Wave’s swimmers just coming off of some difficult
holiday training were able to light the pool on fire with a
tremendous amount of fantastic swims. Beginning with the 400 IM then
the 500 free, the 1000 and the mile, swimmers dropped chunks of
times and several qualified for championship meets in their
events. These are the
types of meets that Wave swimmers like to excel and the program has
been geared around getting the swimmers better prepared to swim the
longer and more challenging events. After another hugely successful
distance meet it is clear that Wave is setting a great standard of
excellence by swimming so well in some of the sports more
challenging races.
Nice job by everyone who swam and if the results of this meet are
any indication of how the rest of the season will play out, you
won’t want to miss it!
Way to go swimmers and GO WAVE!
Here are some of the great performances from
the meet. These are athletes that produced times under the
sectional cuts for the respective events.
