WAVE Graduate Geoffrey Sanders Places 15th at the US Olympic Trials
Geoffrey Sanders who graduated in 2007 and now attends the University of Tennessee is competing at the the US Olympic Trials in Omaha, NE this week. He will be representing UT Aquatics and WAVE Swimming. He swam the 400 meter freestyle on Sunday morning placing 15th with a personal best time of 3:54.54. WAVE Reigns Supreme with 4th OPEN WATER CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE

A year's worth of commitment, hard work and character-driven attitude has earned WAVE our fourth NCS OPEN WATER title in as many years. Eighty-three—lake loving—WAVE swimmers traveled to Seven Lakes and put together a total team effort. WAVE Swimming Recognized by USA Swimming

Club Recognition ProgramThe Club Recognition Program is a voluntary program to recognize clubs that demonstrate a commitment to long term club growth, development and stability. Clubs must meet markers measuring business and organizational success, parent and volunteer development, coach development and education, and athlete development and performance. Club's are ranked Level 1 through Level 4.

WAVE is currently ranked Level 1 and actively working towards Level 2.

A Team of Excellence...FOUR Years and Counting

Silver Medal

For the last FOUR years WAVE has been recognized by USA Swimming's National Club Excellence Program.

The Club Excellence Program recognizes the top clubs, up to 200, in the country. Teams are scored based off a FINA Long Course Performance Rating system.

As a result WAVE Swimming has been awarded funding from USA Swimming to enrich the program futher.

WAVE Swims
Congratulations to all of the WAVE athletes who swam in the 2008 Capital City Invitational. 22 WAVE athletes swam all best times in each of their individual events, 37 WAVE athletes placed in the Top 8 and EIGHT new team records were set. The coaching staff is very pleased with the number of best time and new time standards achieved and racing efforts demonstrated by the WAVE athletes. WAVE @ GOOD STUFF MEET
WAVE Swimmers started the Long Course Season off with a great meet this past weekend at TAC. The coaching staff was extremely pleased with the way the meet went. Swimming a meet in May is important to having a great summer season and we had 90 more swimmers compete at our May meet this year than we did last year. Not only did we have many more swimmers, but they were much faster. We achieved numerous new time standards and personal best times. Read more...

WAVE DAY
